“I learned that my own well-being affects how I am able to perform my job”

I believe that there is an inexorable overlap between one’s private life and one’s public life. Your personal well-being affects your attitude, your attitude affects your state, and your state affects your performance. It’s what I call the WASP chain, and it can be either a viscious or a virtuous cycle.

The WASP chain can be an enlightening model for some, especially when it provokes a realisation that one must work on one’s well-being (physically, emotionally, mentally and/or spiritually) before hoping to perform in the public arena. Private victories precede public victories...

I really enjoyed the personalities thing, about egos, analyticals and amiable people. Mostly though, I learned that my own well-being affects how I am able to perform my job. I must get myself sorted out! From the training I am already trying to apply the personality phases in a way to people on the phone; or at least can now imagine that this isn’t how people behave all the time etc.  I found Rod Solar to be very knowledgeable in his field and had a keen eye for problems among groups (well, our group at least). Also, a very very good communicator.
