“I found trying to think on the spot of new ways to add value to my role very challenging”
After over 10 years of working with people in customer-facing roles, I’m convinced that most really want to do a good, if not great, job. Sometimes, all that’s missing is the sharpened tools, a supportive environment, or the right peer group. It’s heartening to see people accept the challenge to be better than they were yesterday…
The topics I learned most from where how to add value to my role by understanding different types of personalities and how to react to them in a positive way – how to think outside the box. How to get myself in a positive state of mind when feeling stressed and deal with problems in a calm and efficient way. I found trying to think on the spot of new ways to add value to my role very challenging. Most of the topics were covered in good detail but were so interesting that they could have been discussed for longer. I thought the course was well organised with regard to timing. The refreshments were great and the regular breaks gave time to wind down a little. I thought Rod Solar has an inspiring way of imparting information. He is knowledgeable, interesting, has a friendly manner, and a great approach to the subject.

Wow! Why can’t I think of things like that?
