Is sales training worth the investment?

When you choose to invest in a training program, you obviously want to make sure that you see measurable results for your investment. There are many positive sales training results that can occur after working with us, which may include:

  • Reduced staff turnover
  • Improved quality
  • Increased quantity of output
  • Reduction of costs
  • Increase in Profits
  • Improved sales
  • Improved customer service
  • Reduction in waste or errors
  • Less absenteeism
  • Fewer grievances.

The above results are not guaranteed but many of our previous clients have reported these outcomes, with evidence to suggest that they are a result of employee training.

Our sales training secrets

Evaluating sales training is an integral part of our offer and we specifically look at increases in conversion rates, which translates into an increase in sales. This, in turn, should result in an overall increase in profits. We have measurement tools that account for these results and provide a full report to our clients after measuring results for several weeks after training completion.

Costs are of course important to any business and we understand you will want to balance the cost of the training against business results. There may be several costs associated with designing and conducting a training programme. These include:

  • The cost of the trainer
  • Materials
  • Equipment
  • Travel for participants and trainers
  • Training space
  • The cost of lost earnings due to team members attending the training session, rather than working to produce services and products.

In order to make sure that training is worth the investment for your business, we offer a specific return on investment calculation of 5:1. In basic terms, this means that your increased profits as a result of training, with deductions made for costs, divided by the cost of the training session, will yield a number of 5 over 1 within 3 months of the training event.

To illustrate this consider an example: If you invest £10,000 in training, you can expect a £60,000 gain to offset the cost of training and still get a 5:1 return within 3 months of the training event. Put simply, this means that for every £1 you give us, you can expect to get £5 back.

We guarantee this sales training return investment as a minimum. If you don’t net £5 or more for every £1 you spend with us, we will return your money.

5:1 is our minimum ROI. Typically, our clients will see an ROI of 10, 30, 50 or in some cases more.
